Tiago Forte: Building a Second Brain

We go to work five days per week, but spend more than one of those days on average just looking for the information we need to do our work. Half the time, we don’t even succeed in doing that.

Tiago Forte has been a frontrunner in the modern discussion about personal productivity. He created a complete system for knowledge management that had a transformative effect for many people. Rather than focusing on particular tools, Forte’s Second Brain approach encompasses a set of practices that can be implemented by anyone in almost any app. I came across the Second Brain method five years by reading Tiago Forte’s blog and have been using the system ever since. It has been transformative for my productivity and could be used without much change, even though I took on many more responsibilities since I implemented the system.
