The worst books of 2022

The year is over, and it appears that everyone is publishing their favourite books from the last year. While I had the pleasure of reading many excellent books over the last year, there were also some really terrible one. So, here is me selection of the worst books, so you don’t have to read them.

Tim S Grover: Relentless

It’s very rare that I do not finish a non-fiction book after starting it. Usually, there is at least something interesting or useful in it. Relentless by Tim Grover is a rare exception. The book is an endless blathering diatribe with the only purpose of making emphasising the accomplishments of the author and making the reader feel miserable. It feels like being shouted at by a coach, page after page. There was no real method or reflection in the part that I read either, but, admittedly, I only made to through the first three chapters. If you need a verbal kick in the butt from a very aggressive, shouty man to get motivated, this book may serve you well. If you are seeking actual advice on how to succeed, you should probably look elsewhere. To me, this was toxic masculinity in book form.
